“Otterhead Forest School has been fantastic for our ‘NEET’ foundation learning students. Each student has shown enormous growth and thanks to Otterhead Forest School’s gifted staff they have gained the confidence to progress firther and broken down barriers to learning”
Jakki Macphail, Business Development Advisor at Richard Huish College, Taunton.
At Otterhead Forest School we work with young adults between the age of 14 and 24 that are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET).
Our current programme includes a variety of secondary schools within the South West. We work in conjunction with education establishments to identify individuals who are at risk at becoming NEET. We offer a preventative programme that aims to raise the likelihood of people making positive contribution to the community and society as a whole.
“What is best about Forest School is that I can always find someone to talk to and I realise there is hope for the future. I have also made new friends and have a purpose in life. They really helped me to keep calm and not worry so much about things.”
Andy Sellick, a Richard Huish student, NEET programme.
